Abby Wambach
Biography
Abby Wambach is the star or the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. She has had a lot of success in her soccer career. She played for her high school "Our Lady of Mercy High School" and then got picked to play for University of Florida. When her college career ended, she got drafted to play for WUSA's team Washington Freedom where Mia Hamm was her teammate and a huge influence for Abby. However, the WUSA has shut down now and hopfully will start again in 2005. Abby made it on the World Cup Roster and the Olympic roster. After the loss in the semi final in 2003 world cup, all Abby and her teammates wanted was to win the Olympics as most of her teammates were retiring. Abby scored the winning goal in the Olympics against the U.S.A.s match against Brazil and led the United States to win the goal. Right now, Abby is doing the Fan Celebrating Tour. She made a stop at her hometown Rochester, N.Y and was greeted madly by her fans. Now, Abby is continuing her Fan Celebration Tour.
