Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are not done being D-listers together, according to Nick's publicist, who is calling the break-up rumors "not true".

The rocky relationship talk stems from a National Enquirer report that Nick and Vanessa squabbled in "what appeared to be an argument" and then "sat in stone silence" while dining out in L.A. last month. As they were leaving, Vanessa was apparently "in tears" and Nick was tensely "gripping the steering wheel of the car."

According to a friend of the couple, though, this was all a misunderstanding. The source tells Us Magazine:

"They are 100 percent together and fine and in love. Nick and Vanessa did go to dinner that night but there was no fight. When they got in the car, Vanessa looked annoyed in pictures because she was fixing her eyelash!"

Looking at the pictures from the night, this could actually be true.

But it's so much more fun to assume they are going to split, isn't it?!
