Before you can say, "Auf wiedersehen," Project Runway will be back for its fifth season. Although the latest installment of this fashion world favorite, which premieres tonight at 9 pm on Bravo, will surely have its fair share of kooky characters, fans of season four's Chris March can enjoy his snarky commentary and behind-the-scenes tips while blogging for ELLE.com. And while some PR alum have been basking in the spotlight, not all reality TV stars are finding success in the fashion world. Most recently, Lauren Conrad of The Hills was dealt a blow when LA boutique Kitson announced that they won't be carrying her clothing line any more.
In case reality TV fatigue has already set in (and ELLE's own Stylista hasn't even premiered yet!), the boob tube will be graced with several famous faces this fall. In addition to guest spots by Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan, Katie Holmes will be joining the cast of Eli Stone for a one-show guest appearance. Ms. Cruise won't just be acting--she's reportedly dancing and singing as well. Amy Poehler, meanwhile, is rumored to be in talks to join The Office spin-off. Must-see indeed! In fact, the only actress who may not be spending much more time on TV is Katherine Heigl; the actress may be killed off in the next season of Grey's Anatomy, according to Us Weekly. Working in show biz isn't just tough--it can kill you!
In response to Heigl's griping, staffers are considering giving her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, a brain tumor. "[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her," the source tells Us. "It's their way of screwing with her. She won't know whether she's going to live or die." Still, there's good news for fans sad to see Izzie suffer: newly single Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as hunky patient Denny Duquette, whom Izzie will see in visions brought on by the tumor. And a second source thinks the story arc, ironically, may not be a bad thing for Heigl: "If her character does get a brain tumor, she'll probably get an Emmy!" A rep for ABC tells Us, "We can confirm that [Morgan] will be back, but we are not releasing any further details." The show returns September 25 with a two-hour premiere.
