4/22/08 - A gas explosion has destroyed the disused Florence Nightingale pub in the Burmantofts area of Leeds at 1.38pm today 22nd April 2008. Debris was spread across the area by the explosion and five people are being treated for injuries in hospital but none are believed to be life-threatening. Five fire engines attended the scene along with a specialist paramedic unit. West Yorkshire Police say an investigation into the cause of the explosion had begun.
