  • Mother: Martha Jane Hartt McClenny, English teacher at Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas. Died May 4, 1999 (complications from stroke).
  • Is a 1967 graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas.
  • First professional job was acting as Faye Dunaways double during the location filming of Bonnie and Clyde (1967). A native Texan, Morgan was later considered for the Cybill Shepherd role in Last Picture Show, The (1971), competing alongside Sissy Spacek.
