Pamela Anderson has starred in the last Australian version of reality TV show BIG BROTHER - because it has been axed after seven years.

Network Ten has confirmed the show will not return after the current series ends in July (08).

Head of programming, David Mott, says: "We are immensely proud of the show and the incredible success it has enjoyed. We're ending the season on a high."

Anderson entered the house last week (ends11Jul08) in an attempt to revive the show's flagging ratings.
