A judge has dismissed a wrongful termination lawsuit against U.S. game show host Bob Barker from a former PRICE IS RIGHT employee.

Deborah Curling, a former production assistant, launched legal action against Barker and production company FremantleMedia North America in October (07), claiming she faced a hostile working atmosphere after testifying against Barker in another wrongful termination lawsuit.

But Judge Malcolm H. Mackey, who was overseeing the case at Los Angeles Superior Court, dismissed claims against Barker on Wednesday (06Aug08) - insisting the star could not be sued for wrongful termination because he was not Curling's employer.

Judge Mackey also dismissed several other claims against the production company.

Barker, 84, retired in 2007 after hosting the TV game show for 35 years.
