Actress Mischa Barton is confident her TV past won't hinder her chances of making it big in Hollywood - because her character on THE O.C. was so crazy.

The 21-year old starlet played Marissa Cooper for three years on the Fox hit - a drama about rich Californian teens - but doesn't expect her dysfunctional part to scupper her silver screen career.

She says, "Marissa was impossible to typecast. She was a lesbian, an alcoholic, an addict and then she went into rage.

"You couldn't find another Marissa!"
