British actor Sean Bean flew into a rage at an American airport when he was told he had to endure two security searches.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS heart-throb caused such a scene, he was removed from the premises by police officers.

He says, "I was flying to Los Angeles and had already gone through security.

"But after I went outside for a cigarette, the security guard wanted to do a second full body search.

"I lost it. I know security is important but I can't stand mindless bureaucracy.

"I said I didn't want to get on his flaming plane anyway - and The Police escorted me out of the airport."
