SCHNEIDER: 'I'D RATHER BE FUNNY THAN POLITE'

SCHNEIDER: 'I'D RATHER BE FUNNY THAN POLITE'
Date: Sep. 13, 2005 | Category: Movie News
American funnyman Rob Schneider insists there should be no political correctness in comedy, because being polite simply isn't funny.
Schneider has raised eyebrows with his latest movie DEUCE BIGALOW: EUROPEAN GIGOLO because it makes jokey references to midgets.
But he is adamant laughs come first.
He says, "You can't be afraid to offend. The politically correct term is little person, but come on, it's a midget.
"And he comes in and he's funny, but let's put him in a sailor outfit and throw him out the window.
"And you know, for me, it's insensitive, but isn't it funny?"
