PATRICK SWAYZE's DIRTY DANCING co-star Jennifer Grey has spoken of her sadness after the actor revealed he's suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Reports Swayze was suffering from pancreatic cancer surfaced on Wednesday (05Mar08), and were later confirmed by his publicist.

And Grey has sent her best wishes for a swift recovery to the man who starred alongside her in the 1987 classic.

She says, "It is so sad. If I saw him on the streets today, I'd throw my arms around him and love him up."

On Thursday (06Mar08), Whoopi Goldberg and Lea Thompson, Swayze's co-stars in Ghost and Red Dawn respectively, both offered the actor their support.
