The 1958 rock 'n' roll classic beat Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze and Crossroads by Cream to claim the number one spot on Rolling Stone magazine's new countdown.
Also making the top 10 is The Kinks' You Really Got Me, Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones, Van Halen's Eruption and Led Zeppelin's rock anthem Stairway To Heaven.
