Flamboyant rocker SIR Elton John is furious about the constant speculation over whether he and partner David Furnish will get married.

The outspoken ROCKET MAN star, 57, has previously hinted he would be keen to wed the Canadian television producer, but the attention his comments attracted has forced the singer to set the record straight.

John, who has been with Furnish since 1993, fumes, "I've never said we were going to get married - what I've said is that if the law comes into being in England then David and I will definitely sign that civil agreement to protect ourselves.

"I think I deserve the same rights as everyone else to celebrate out partnership."
