Barbados-born R+B star Rihanna is set to make her movie debut - playing herself.

The PON DE REPLAY singer has landed a cameo role in the third installment of cheerleader film franchise BRING IT ON - BRING IT ON, BRING IT ON AGAIN!

And the project has fired up Rihanna's passion for acting so much, she plans to take acting classes next year (06) to hone her skills.

She says, "I really want to get into acting."

In the film, currently shooting in Los Angeles, rival cheerleaders compete to appear in a fictional Rihanna TV special.

The film stars BEYONCE KNOWLES' sister SOLANGE and RAISING HELEN star Hayden Panettiere.
